WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US House of Representatives has passed the Make America Secure Appropriations Act which includes spending on defense and other national security priorities, the Republican House Appropriations Committee said in a statement.

"The House just passed the Make America Secure Appropriations Act on a vote of 235-192," the Committee said in a Twitter statement on Thursday.

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan said in a statement after the legislation passed that the money will fund a wall along the southern border, gives a raise to service members and takes care of veterans.

On Monday, the White House said that if this bill passes the House and Senate, President Donald Trump would sign it.
