Fireworks, Lasers, Somersaults: Flyboarding Extravaganza in Moscow Region

A spectacular flyboard show called “Cosmic Odyssey” took place on a lake in the village of Zavidovo. Flyboarders in luminous neon costumes looking like guests from outer space performed somersaults, backflips and other stunning tricks on the water.

Flyboarding is a relatively new kind of extreme sport that has been increasingly attracting enthusiasts in recent years. Flyboarding, which is sort of a combination between a jet ski and a jet pack, was invented in autumn 2012 by a French watercraft rider, Franky Zapata. The design allows the device to climb out of the water and be stable in the air.
