Moscow Hopes for Quick Resumption of Dialogue With US on Improvement of Ties

Moscow hopes that a pause in dialogue with the US on the normalization of bilateral relations will not be prolonged, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday commenting on recent talks with US Under Secretary Thomas Shannon in Washington.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "In all areas, the conversations were quite deep, frank, without attempts to smooth the corners. I hope that it will bring results, and we expect that the pause in the continuation of this dialogue will not drag out," Ryabkov said in an interview with Russia's Kommersant newspaper posted on its website on Tuesday.
