New Chassis Control Systems of T-50 Fighter Jet to Be Shown at MAKS-2017

Russian Space Systems (RSS) will present equipment, created on the basis of space technologies, for monitoring the systems of the fifth generation T-50 fighter jet at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 this week, the holding's press service said on Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — MAKS-2017 will be held in the Russian town of Zhukovsky on July 18-23.

"The RSS booth will show the chassis parameters control system, the temperature-measuring system and the cooling control of the wheels, as well as the sensors for the hydraulic system of the aircraft," the holding said in a statement.

The chassis parameters control system will monitor the pressure and the stroke of the shock strut of the nose gear and main landing gear, as well the position of the new Russian fighter jets' gears.

RSS will also present a system designed to measure temperatures and control the cooling of the wheels. The system can also signal the unavailability to re-takeoff, overheating and inadmissibility of turning off the power supply of the cooling fans of the wheels. The system will operate in the temperature range from minus 60 (minus 76 degrees Fahrenheit) to 300 degrees Celsius.

Russian Sukhoi T-50 (PAK FA) is the fifth-generation stealth fighter. It is a single-seat, twin-engine multirole jet fighter designed for air superiority and attack roles. The first flight of the aircraft took place in 2010.
