WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The gunman who opened fire during practice of the Republican congressional baseball team in Alexandria, Virginia has died from injuries he sustained during the incident, US President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday.

"The assailant has now died from his injuries," Trump said in a statement he delivered to the country.
