The first UK-based OneWeb company's satellites will be sent to space atop Russia's Soyuz carrier rockets next year, CEO Eric Beranger said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Beranger said the company's first satellites would be developed in the French city of Toulouse.

Moreover, Russia's Gonets Satellite System and the UK's OneWeb companies have signed a joint venture agreement to create a mobile web group of satellites.

The newly-signed joint venture will launch satellites from both the Baikonur Cosmodrome and the Guiana Space Center.

The Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is the official media partner of the forum.

Director General of State Space Corporation Roscosmos Igor Komarov had said that Russia plans to send 672 of OneWeb's satellites into space.
