Underwater Concert of Danish Music Band in Russia

This performance by Between Music, a four-piece band from Denmark, is completely out of the ordinary! Each in his own man-sized aquarium, musicians and singers perform in the water. They play peculiar custom-made instruments that can be heard underwater and use a distinctive vocal technique for underwater singing.

A concert, visual performance and an art installation in one, the Between Music's show was presented at the International Diaghilev Festival in Perm, Russia, on May 16 and 17. The festival, held since 2003, includes world premieres of opera and ballet performances, performances of contemporary dance troops, symphonic, organ and jazz music concerts and art and photo exhibitions.
