Two gunmen were involved in the previous attack. One assailant was killed, and police have begun to search the killer's home east of Paris. It is not clear whether the assailant's partner in crime was involved in the second round of shootings.
People have been evacuated from public places along the prestigious boulevard following the shooting, according to a local representative.
