English Firefighters Rescue Bovine Intruder From Swimming Pool

Subscribe
On the quiet evening of April 17, the English city of Dorset's fire and rescue service received an unusual call: a man asked for help with a cow which had gotten stuck in an outdoor family pool in Plush, a small village not far from Dorchester.

The curious calf had wandered into the backyard from a neighboring field and simply jumped into the pool, unaware that there was no escape. While waiting for a rescue team to arrive, property owner Martin Bigge and his neighbor Jon Royce used a lasso to hold the cow's head above water, saving the animal from drowning. After the technical rescue unit pulled the bovine intruder out of the pool, the calf was handed over to its owner.
