Preparations for Putin's Contacts With Iranian President Underway

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, responding to a question about the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on March 28, said such contacts were being prepared.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday confirmed the preparation of Russian-Iranian contacts at the highest level.

"Such contacts are being prepared. We will make a relevant announcement," Peskov told reporters.

The Iranian embassy in Russia confirmed in January the plans of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to visit Russia for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in March.
