The first meeting of Syrian ceasefire talks in Astana will be held behind closed doors, according to the statement of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

ALMATY (Sputnik) — Wednesday's ceasefire talks in Astana will be held behind closed doors, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

"The meeting will be held behind closed doors," the ministry said on its website, announcing the meeting scheduled for 07:00 GMT.

A press briefing is then scheduled following the second day of talks on Thursday.
