MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He noted that if Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to join, the alliance would work with it on "how to move on that path," adding that the country had all the necessary tools to move toward NATO.
"NATO has never forced any country to join the alliance. It’s up to Bosnia and Herzegovina to decide whether Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to become a member of the alliance," Stoltenberg told a press conference during his visit to Sarajevo.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has been engaged in dialogue with the alliance on its membership aspirations and related reforms since 2008. In 2006, the country joined the Partnership for Peace program and one year later signed an agreement on security cooperation with NATO.
