UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura told Sputnik Monday that the parties to the upcoming talks in Astana on the Syrian settlement were working hard to achieve results.

ASTANA (Sputnik) — The talks are expected to begin at 7:00 GMT in the capital of Kazakhstan. According to country’s foreign ministry, the talks are expected to conclude on Tuesday.

“We are working hard,” de Mistura said, refusing to answer any further questions.
