Outside the headquarters of the Washington Post near 13th and K Street NW activists set a car on fire.

It's not clear whether the Fire Department has arrived on the scene.

Protesters have been active all day. The attempt to rain on Trump's parade kicked off Friday morning when a group of activists started vandalizing cars, store fronts, and coffee houses.

Soon after Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were sworn into office, protesters mobilized on K Street. At least 217 arrests have been made, the DC police told Sputnik, but this number has likely increased as the protests continue. Police forces dressed in full riot gear used tear gas, pepper spray, concussion and flashbang grenades.
