Retired Gen. James Cartright has been pardoned for making untrue statements to US federal investigators, outgoing President Barack Obama announced.

Obama Commutes Whistleblower Chelsea Manning's Sentence
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Cartright, a former vice chairman of the US Joints Chiefs of Staff, was pardoned for leaking information about the US cyber operation that implanted the Stuxnet virus into Iran's nuclear centrifuge program.

"[Cartright is pardoned] for false statements to federal investigators," the announcement said on Tuesday.
