The decision by the Dutch authorities on the fate of the Scythian gold collection "buries" the Hague's ambitions to become the legal capital of the world, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — An Amsterdam court ruled on December 14 to give the disputed collection of Scythian gold to Ukraine, not to Crimea, where it was kept before the peninsula’s reunification with Russia.

The ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the ruling as an unjust and and unfriendly move, stressing that it "puts an end to the Hague's ambitions to be considered the world's legal capital."
