Russia to Develop Hypersonic Aerial Devices to Override Missile Defense

Russian scientists have been developing hypersonic aerial devices in order to override the missile defense systems that would ensure strategic parity in the world.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian scientists have been developing hypersonic aerial devices, available to override the missile defense systems that would ensure strategic parity in the world, the head of Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Fund's (FPI) research group said Friday.

"The fund is implementing several scientific and technical projects in the sphere of maneuverable hypersonic aeroballistic aerial devices… because of their outstanding characteristics, such systems would be capable of overriding almost every missile defense systems," Boris Satovsky told RIA Novosti.

He added that the aerial devices would contribute to strategic parity in the world.
