The OPEC secretary-general said he is "extremely confident" the oil deal will be implemented in a timely manner.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Mohammed Barkindo, secretary-general The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), expressed confidence on Tuesday that the reached agreement on cutting oil production will be fully implemented in a timely manner.

"I’m extremely confident that this agreement will be implemented fully and in a timely fashion," Barkindo told reporters.
