In Turkey a pink tram bus will start operating soon. It has been specially designed for women. However, this decision has been met with some protests on social media.

According to the mayor of Malatya province, Ahmet Çakır these new tram buses will be very comfortable, environmentally friendly and safe, Hürriyet newspaper reported.

However, some users of social networks have protested against the allocation of separate tram buses for women.

In their opinion, this will not be an effective measure to solve the problem of sexual harassment in public transport and will only contribute to discrimination against women in society.
