State Department Says US Policy Against Arming Syrian Rebels Has Not Changed
19:28 GMT 08.12.2016 (Updated: 11:25 GMT 06.08.2022) The United States hasn’t changed its position against arming anti-government rebels in Syria amid the imminent fall of the city of Aleppo to government forces, Department of State spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said Thursday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Trudeau gave a negative answer to reporters when asked if Washington had revised its stance on arming so-called rebel factions.
"Even if Aleppo falls, certainly the war is not over. But our position has not changed on that."
