US President-elect Donald Trump reportedly intends to nominate Andy Puzder, chief executive of CKE Restaurants Holdings, which owns fast-food outlets, as US labor secretary.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – According to Bloomberg News, an announcement of Puzder’s nomination is expected later in the day.

Puzder met with the incoming president at Trump Tower in New York City for a second time Wednesday.

CKE Restaurants, a privately owned company based in California, is the parent of fast-food chains Carl's Jr. and Hardees. CKE has more than 3,000 franchised or company-run restaurants in the United States and other countries.
