US Firm Wins Support Contract for Cruise Missile Defense Systems in 5 Countries

Intuitive Research and Technology has received a $7.5 million US Army foreign military sales contract to provide services for the cruise missile defense systems of India, Egypt, Finland, South Korea and Qatar, the US Department of Defense said in a statement.

WASHINGTON  (Sputnik) — The Alabama-based firm was awarded a modification contract for services for the cruise missile defense system project office.

Work on the contract will be performed in Huntsville in the US state of Alabama, with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2017, the Defense Department noted.

South Korea has invested increasingly heavily in US missile defense programs. However, India is an ally of Russia and co-develops its BrahMos cruise missiles in a joint venture with Moscow.
