PRAGUE (Sputnik) — According to the spokesman, the two sides agreed that the end of April 2017 would be a perfect time for both to meet in Washington.
"US President-elect Donald Trump in a conversation [with Zeman] appreciated the fact that the president of the Republic was the one and only European president, who publicly supported him before the November US elections. The new US president invited the president of the [Czech] Republic to visit the White House," Ovcacek said in a statement, adding that in turn, Zeman invited Trump to visit the Czech Republic, and the invitation was accepted.
Ovcacek said that the two presidents also discussed their stances regarding the fight against terrorism, as well as other areas of bilateral political and economic cooperation.
