The Russian Defense Ministry said that more than 6,000 civilians, including 3,113 children, have escaped terrorist-controlled areas of eastern Aleppo in the past 24 hours.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — More than 6,000 civilians, including 3,113 children, have escaped terrorist-controlled areas of eastern Aleppo in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said Wednesday.

"Within the last 24 hours, a total of 6,020 civilians, including 3,113 children, have left the besieged areas of the Aleppo city with the assistance of the Russian Center for reconciliation," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
