'Sad': Trump Says US Vote Recount to Be Waste of Time, Money
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Carr did not specify how the money would be spent.

"Please contribute to our Recount Defense Fund to help us cover the costs as the far left drags our country through a pointless recount," Carr stated in an email to Republican supporters.

Last week, Stein launched a multimillion dollar crowdfunding campaign to finance recounts in the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Green Party officially requested a recount in Wisconsin on Saturday.

Hillary Clinton's general counsel Mark Elias has said her campaign will join the Green Party's motion to recount votes in Pennsylvania and Michigan if Stein pursues them.

To become US president, a candidate must win at least 270 electoral votes, a threshold Trump exceeded by at least 20, with a few states’ tabulations still to be finalized. Clinton received 232 electoral votes.
