WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The release on Friday also preceded another popular shopping day called Cyber Monday on November 28, when on-line retailers compete for customers by offering deep discounts.

"The new branch demonstrates CBP’s commitment to support small and microbusinesses while addressing the challenges posed by this dynamic trading environment," the agency’s Office of Trade Executive Assistant Commissioner Brenda Smith said in the release on Friday.

Worldwide e-commerce sales are expected to reach over $4 trillion by 2020, the release explained.

Black Friday features competition among traditional stores that lure shoppers with big discounts, especially on consumer electronics and clothing.
