MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The annual event organized by the Russian government and the Russian Energy Ministry is estimated to involve over 10,000 people and more than 100 Russian and foreign energy companies.
Key topics of the three-day forum are energy efficiency and urban development, social development of sparsely populated territories and promotion of energy development.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin are listed among speakers of the ENES 2016 along with Special Envoy of the UK Foreign Office on Climate Change Sir David King and Interim Mayor of Greater Manchester Tony Lloyd.
Swiss Ambassador to Russia Pierre Helg and Brian Motherway, the head of the energy efficiency division at the International Energy Agency’s (IEA), are also scheduled to attend the event.
