Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Peruvian counterpart Pedro Kuczynski agreed Sunday to take measures to triple trade flows in years to come, media said.

Peru Wants to Develop Cooperation With Russia
MEXICO (Sputnik) — During their meeting in Lima, Putin and Kuczynski praised the strength of contacts between the two nations, with 17 new deals in the making that will ramp up bilateral trade, the local radio RPP said.

Kuczynski reportedly said Peru and Russia could reach $1 trillion in bilateral trade flows in the next few years and boost strategic investments.

The meeting took place on the margins of the APEC economic leaders' summit in the Peruvian capital Lime. Leaders of the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group are expected to work out a strategic vision for the next year.
