MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The source added that the former Labour leader is "unimpressed" by current Prime Minister Theresa May. He is setting up an institute close to Whitehall, merging his charitable and commercial operations, and has held talks with senior ministers and officials in an effort to re-enter British politics.

"He thinks Jeremy Corbyn is a nutter and the Tories are screwing up Brexit. He thinks there’s a massive hole in British politics that he can fill," a source close to Blair told The Sunday Times newspaper.

On June 23, the United Kingdom held a referendum to determine whether or not the country should leave the European Union. According to the final results, 51.9 percent of voters, or 17.4 million people, decided to support Brexit, while about 16.1 million opposed it. Prime Minister David Cameron resigned following the announcement of the result.

Blair served as the UK prime minister from 1997 to 2007.
