LIMA (Sputnik), Svetlana Alexandrova — Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in the capital of Peru to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting that is taking place over the weekend, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
Jinping arrived in Lima on Friday. On Thursday, the Chinese leader came to Ecuador. After Peru, Xi is set to hold talks with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet.
Peru has been hosting APEC's all-year-round meetings that will culminate with the economic leaders' summit in Lima on November 19-20.
