Vladimir Putin Holds Phone Talks With US President-Elect Donald Trump
SOCHI (Sputnik) — Media reports of US President-elect Donald Trump visiting Russia after his inauguration on January 20 appear to be unsubstantiated, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday, noting that no negotiations preparing for the visit are underway.

"There have been no talks so far, this is exactly the sort of anecdotal information that looks like a spoof," Peskov told reporters.

A high-ranking US Republican party source told Russia's Izvestia newspaper that preparations were underway for Trump's visit to Russia after his inauguration.

"There is no specificity, so there is of course no word on whether this could happen before the inauguration. There is no specific understanding that it will happen after the inauguration," Peskov stressed.
