LIMA (Sputnik) — Peru hopes that US President-elect Donald Trump will be pursuing the policy of openness when cooperating with its partners, including the country, Second Vice-President of Peru Mercedes Araoz told Sputnik on Thursday.

"We can start talking and we hope that when you are the president, you have to represent all your people and all interests of your country and part of this is having openness with your neighbors. We are neighbors and we have to work all together," Mercedes Araoz said.
