Trump Eyes Texas Senator Cruz as Possible US Attorney General
President-elect Donald Trump is considering US Senator and former contender for the Republican presidential nomination Ted Cruz for the position of US attorney general, media reported on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — According to MSNBC News, Cruz was spotted in Trump Tower in New York City earlier in the day, which led to speculations that he could be nominated for the post.
However, the senator's spokesperson said that Cruz visited Trump Tower to offer help and counsel to Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
After a tough competition with the real estate mogul during primary election, Cruz refused to endorse Trump at the Republican Party convention in July.
But as the election reached its final phase in September, Cruz announced that he would vote for Trump and later joined Pence on campaign trail.
