WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Trump restated his pledge after a meeting on Capitol Hill with House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan.

"We are going to lower taxes, as you know," he told reporters. “Health care — we’re going to make it affordable. We are going to do a real job on health care.”

Trump said he had a “great meeting” with Ryan.

The Republican legislative leader has said recently that he and Trump could work together effectively despite Ryan’s prior criticism of Trump during the presidential campaign.
