MOSCOW (Sputnik) — New US president will have an opportunity for a rational evaluation of the Washington-Moscow relations after the "muddy" presidential race is over, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) President Sergey Katyrin said on Wednesday.

"The elections are over, particularly 'muddy' US campaign trail rhetoric, brewed on the anti-Russia allegations, is no more. I think that the new president would calmly and soberly, already as a statesman from across the ocean, look at our relations, both political and economic," Katyrin told RIA Novosti.

Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are the two main candidates in the US presidential election. According to the latest data, Trump is leading in a number on key states, such as Florida, Ohio and North Carolina, which makes his chances of success significant.

According to The New York Times’ Upshot project, the chances of Trump winning the election now stand at over 95 percent.
