US Election Likely to Have Minimal Impact on Russian Ruble Rate
16:45 GMT 08.11.2016 (Updated: 11:22 GMT 06.08.2022) The outcome of the November 8 presidential election in the United States will have a minimal and short-term impact on the Russian financial market and the ruble exchange rate, Economy Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said Tuesday.
ROME (Sputnik) — After a meeting with Italian businessmen in Rome, Ulyukaev told reporters:
"I do not believe it would have any significant impact….A short-term fluctuation is possible, but everything will calm down in the end. The impact will be minimal."
