The North Carolina elections board will hold an emergency public meeting to discuss extending precinct closing times in certain counties, the State Board of Elections said in a statement.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — According to the statement, the agenda includes consideration and action regarding precinct closing times.

"The State Board of Elections will hold a public meeting by teleconference on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 6 p.m.," the board stated on Tuesday.
