The first polling stations closed in two US states of Indiana, and Kentucky at 6p.m. EST on Tuesday night.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The first voting results of the 58th Presidential election are expected to appear soon. The last polls will close in the state of Alaska at 1 a.m. EST on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the US citizens have gone to the polls to cast their votes for the 45th President of the United States.

Americans are choosing from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, as well as third party and independent presidential candidates, including Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, Green Party nominee Jill Stein, and Independent candidate Evan McMullin.
