Ex-US Presidential Candidate Graham Votes For Ex CIA Operations Officer McMullin
22:01 GMT 08.11.2016 (Updated: 11:22 GMT 06.08.2022) Former presidential candidate Lindsey Graham has voted for independent candidate in the US presidential election, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operations officer David Evan McMullin.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Graham said via Twitter on Tuesday that he appreciates McMullin's "views on a strong America and the need to rebuild our military."
8 November 2016, 20:06 GMT
On May 7, Graham said he was unwilling to support Donald Trump, calling him an unreliable conservative who has not displayed the judgment and temperament needed to serve as commander-in-chief.
Trump became the effective US Republican Party presidential candidate by winning in a landslide victory the primary election in the US state of Indiana on May 3.
The US presidential elections are being held on Tuesday, November 8. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and her Republican rival Trump are the main contenders for the post of the new US leader.
