Marc Elias, the general counsel for Democratic Party's Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, affiliated with the Fund for America advised to avoid making public the fact of negotiations on the issue of providing a donation to the College Democrats of America (CDA) because of "legal sensitivities," emails released by WikiLeaks on Tuesday showed.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In 2008, the FFA discussed the issue of providing the CDA, which is the youth outreach arm of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), with $1,5 million.

"Given the legal sensitivities, I would advise that this conversation take place only counsel to counsel. Will you may share this email (or its substance) with the FFA Board, to protect the attorney client privilege, please do not forward this email outside of FFA," Elias said in an email sent to Amy Dacey, who used to work in organizations affiliated with the Democratic Party before the scandal with the DNC leak in summer.

He added that if the funds were donated the "language to protect FFA" could be discussed.

On Tuesday, WikiLeaks uploaded the 35th batch of emails from the hacked account of US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta.

In July, the whistleblower website published nearly 20,000 of hacked emails that apparently showed the DNC members discussing ways to undercut Bernie Sanders in the race for the ruling party’s nomination. The publication made several party's officials, including Dacey, to resign.
