Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang issued a joint statement on Monday announcing the development of strategic cooperation on the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

STRELNA (St. Petersburg), (Sputnik) — Mevedev and Li adopted a joint communique following the 21st regular meeting of the Russian and Chinese heads of government held in St. Petersburg.

The sides additionally announced the end of the first joint inspection of the Russia-China state border, and adopted the protocol of the 20th meeting to prepare for regular meetings among heads of government.
