Support for German CDU, CSU Parties Sinks to All-Time Low Over Migration Policy
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The draft law stipulates the target at 25,000 of third-country skilled immigrants to offer highly qualified jobs and introduces the system of  assessing the "candidates' attractiveness", what includes relevant job offers, necessary qualifications and knowledge of the German language, the Deutsche Welle broadcaster said.

Chairman of the SPD-Parliamentary GroupThomas Oppermann said that the country should develop more attractive conditions for highly qualified migrants, since only 5,900 out of some 14,000 work and resident permits for qualified third-country immigrants were taken up last year, according to the broadcaster.

"We have to work at being attractive… For well-educated immigrants, Germany is by no means the most attractive country, " Oppermann was quoted as saying by the broadcaster.

Germany is facing a difficult democratic situation following a rapidly aging population and lack of qualified migrants for efficient competence with English-speaking countries.
