The Tallinn airport was evacuated on Saturday over a phone call warning about a bomb threat but later reopened after necessary checks, local police said in a statement.

TALLINN (Sputnik) – The Tallinn airport was previously evacuated over a bomb threat on October 22, following the similar phone call made by a person jailed in one of the Estonian prisons.

"At 9:00 a.m. [07:00 GMT] police received a phone call. A man said in Russian that a bomb had been planted in the Tallinn airport and after that the call was suspended. Following the call, people were evacuated from the airport and emergency services with sniffer dogs arrived at the site. After the checks it turned out that there was no bomb. At 10:00 a.m. the airport returned to normal work," the statement said.
