Russia to Send Almaz-Antey's MH17 Airspace Data to Netherlands
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Former Chief of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the state-owned Almaz-Antey concern, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

In September, Fradkov was expected to assume a post of chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Railways.

“We agreed that you will head the Supervisory Board of Russian Railways but [Head of Russia’s Rostec Corporation] Sergey Viktorovich [Chemezov] appealed to you and me to use [your experience] in Almaz-Antey, bearing in mind that this is the defense industry enterprise, and your work not only as prime minister but also as foreign intelligence chief would be useful there,” Putin said at a meeting with Fradkov and Chemezov.

Fradkov also agreed with Putin’s proposal to head the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies.

Almaz-Antey is Russia's biggest defense contractor.
