The next launch of the US carrier rocket Antares with Russian-made engines is planned for early 2017, the head of Russia's Energomash space and rocket engine manufacturer said Tuesday.

ZHUHAI (China), (Sputnik) — Orbital ATK's Antares vehicle equipped with two RD-181 first stage engines sent the Cygnus spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) on October 17 after numerous delays.

"According to Orbital ATK's plans, we are talking about the first quarter of 2017," Energomash Director General Igor Arbuzov told RIA Novosti at Airshow China-2016.
