MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif discussed the situation in Syria.
"Everybody should know that there is no military solution to Syria’s issue and it should be resolved through political ways," Rouhani said as quoted on the president’s official website.
Rouhani stressed, that it is highly necessary to combat the terrorist threat not to let terrorist states and governments emerge in Middle East region and Northern Africa.
