Russian-Iranian Cooperation to Bring Peace, Stability to Middle East – Iran's FM

Cooperation between Russia and Iran will bring peace and stability to the Middle Eastern region, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said on Friday following a meeting with his Russian and Syrian counterparts.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia and Iran have been supporting the legitimate Syrian government headed by president Bashar Assad while the western countries backed the so-called moderate opposition.

"A very close link between Russia and Iran was established and this close link will bring peace and stability to the region, to our countries and will lead to security in general.  We also want to point out how crucial it is to maintain cooperation in the humanitarian track between the countries and in Syria," Zarif said.
