CAIRO (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition’s actions in Syria require more coordination with Russia, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari said Thursday.
“Look what IS [Daesh] has done around the world. But, of course, they are destroyed in Iraq thanks to the efforts of the heroes of the Iraqi army. Air group in the east of Syria continues bombing Daesh, and this requires further coordination of an international coalition with Russia,” the minister said at a press conference in Baghdad broadcast by local TV channels.
