Despite corporate and federal government conservatism the state of Colorado is attempting to push a progressive agenda through a series of ballot initiatives this November.

On this episode of "By Any Means Necessary" host Eugene Puryear is joined by Senator Irene Aguilar, Democratic member of the Colorado Senate to talk about her state's ballot initiatives that could create a single payer healthcare system, a right to die law, and a raise in the state's minimum wage.

In a special third segment host Eugene Puryear is joined by Owen Perkins, Director of Communications for Colorado Care working to pass Amendment 69 for Universal Health Care for Colorado, to talk about the national implications of a Single Pay healthcare system in the state, efforts to remove archaic state constitution language referencing slavery, and what its like to fight against big businesses and corporate interest to pass these progressive ballot initiatives.
