WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Work will be performed in the US state of Missouri and expected to be completed in December 2019, the release noted.
"The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, has been awarded a maximum $196,691,034 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a five-year base contract with one five-year option period for F/A-18 aircraft spare parts," the release stated on Monday.
The first operational F/A-18 Super Hornet squadron formed in June 2001 and deployed into combat aboard the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in July 2002.
